Just about 12 months ago
genetics called with a diagnosis. Riboflavin Transporter Deficiency is a rare
condition. We’re the first diagnosed case through Texas Children’s Hospital but
not the first treated. We are thankful there’s a treatment because many mitochondrial
conditions are not treatable. We’re continuing to learn sign language. We’re celebrating 11 years of marriage this year. We traveled together to London
,Ireland & Cayman.
We have 7 in our family,
if you count Dude. We lost our sweet dog, Moo Moo, in November. We miss him
terribly but we know “all dogs go to heaven” and we’re thankful he was a part
of our family.
In 6 years, Brenlee
will be baptized.
Bryce is 5 and a
Kindergartener. He pleasantly surprised us and potty-trained
this last Summer. He is learning sight words and beginning to read. He is a
living miracle! We see him slowly improve and it gives us much joy. He is as
stubborn as he is deaf (and he’s profoundly deaf) but he’s also super sweet and
his excitement is contagious.
4 kids is a lot
(in the world’s view) but they’re great. There’s bonding and there’s fighting. We
aim for getting along.
3 more years and
Brayden will be a teenager.
Brenlee is 2 and it’s not hard to tell (family picture). She’s sassy but cute. sweet but a
toot. She loves to dress up and she loves books. She’s
a Mama’s girl and likes to say “My Mom”.
We love this special time of year. We celebrate the 1 we love so dear. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, is the
reason for the season.
